Condolence: I had the honour and privilege of working with Mary Ellen, for several years. Always enjoyed chatting and commiserating about family. Had some interesting discussions about work with her. A wonderful, funny and lovely lady. You will be truly missed by all. Rest In Peace dear Mary Ellen, Rest In Peace ... ❤️

Condolence: Although I didn't know Mary Ellen as well as many others did, I will always remember her friendly demeanor, her sense of humor and her laugh. We'd sometimes end up in deep conversations when she'd pop in to chat - often as she was leaving at the end of the day. Mary Ellen could certainly gab and we covered myriad topics beyond business over the years. I always welcomed those interactions - and thankfully we had lots.

A dedicated employee throughout her career, I know she was a great colleague and a true friend to so many. She'll be sadly missed.

Condolence: Condolences and thoughts to all of Mary Ellen's family.
All the tributes listed are so very true of how Mary Ellen got along with everyone she met on her own terms--warm and friendly. You wanted to have a chat with her at any time. I knew her for 6 years and the most memorable thing she liked was plain potato chips with vanilla ice cream. She would say "don't knock it until you tried it".
What a terrific lady who will missed by a lot of people.

Condolence: Mary Ellen's family:
I am just one - as you can see here - of Mary Ellen's extended "other family" at Annex who are devastated by losing her from our day-to-day lives at the office. I first met her only six years ago when I joined the company but more recently, as I got to know Mary Ellen more, was lucky to have her show me her grand baby pictures quite a lot, usually after a holiday weekend or family event... The standard Mary Ellen telling of her happiness and joy at your new generation would occur in the cafeteria first thing in the morning, at the coffee machine. Many of us got into that ritual of checking in with her at that time. Mary Ellen would tell us about the new baby milestones and how much she was LOVING it. Mary Ellen also told me a lot about life in the Maritimes back in the day, with her incredibly dry, droll wit. We ALWAYS knew where Mary Ellen stood on everything: She was direct and forthright, one of the most "real" people possible - zero putting on an act, all totally and beautifully confident and self-contained. You know that thing that people will say about who you'd want to be in a foxhole with? Who would have your back in a war? Mary Ellen was that person. Total trust in her doing the right thing. I cannot imagine the pain you are going through - but you should know how much Mary Ellen made a positive difference to so many of us who worked with her.

Condolence: Mary-Ellen my heart crush into little bits when I heard about the sudden and untimely passing away. It was a joy working and knowing you. I will never forget the warmth and fun your smile brought to the office each and every day and it was an honor to have known such a person. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Rest in peace.

Condolence: Mary Ellen where do I begin. You were like a Mom for all of us over the years at Southam, BIG and now here at Annex. Your infectious laugh, your firecracker personality, honestly a true gem. We had many talks, shared family stories and so many laughs. I loved working with you, you always made my day better! I am sending your entire family a big hug. They are all in my thoughts and prayers. How hard it is for us to lose you, what they must be going though right now through this most difficult time. Hold tight to the memories. I know I sure am. Climb that "Bean Stalk" Mary Ellen. I will miss you my friend. xoxoxo

Condolence: I can't think of any time when I ran into Mary Ellen without a smile on her face, or me leaving without a smile on mine.
Mary Ellen was one of those people who was a privilege to know.
Go in peace Mary Ellen

Condolence: A bright light has gone out with your leaving this world. You had many struggles in your life but you never allowed any of it to pull you down and always had a beautiful smile and genuine chuckle for those of us who needed it. I am so glad to have worked with you and known you for over a decade. Your cheerfulness will be greatly missed by everyone. Rest in peace.
